General "Siblings" FAQ

So this is based on you?

Yes, basically. It focuses on me and my little brother Johny. And while it is based on us, I don't use it as an accuracy crutch. This means I may fib about a few things here and there for the sake of a joke. I make these fibs pretty clear in the scrapbooks and in things I write, so there shouldn't be any confusion there. I do make these fabrications few and far inbetween, though, and will validate what's true or not upon asking.

Are you guys REALLY like you are in the cartoon?

Many of the things seen in the cartoons are indeed based on real events and people, but in many cases, things are exaggerated for comedy's sake. For instance, I don't randomly yell in the house... THAT often. Usually, there will be someone asleep in the house, so I try to keep my talking from getting that intense... but when everyone's awake, then it's fair game. Also, Johny's addiction to Runescape is exaggerated. He likes the game, but doesn't need it to live, and takes breaks from playing when it gets boring to him. So yeah, while it's exaggerated, it's based more or less on truth.

What about looks?

I've released a live action video or two in the vein if Siblings on youtube. People say Johny's animated self is spot on, but most don't agree on whether I look accurate or not. I personally find it to be accurate since my appearance changes a lot, in real life and in the cartoon. Johny's appearance is the same pretty much anytime, so I'm not forced to redo his design very much. The only time it's different is when he cuts it super short over the summer. That style'll work its way into an episode eventually, but not anytime soon... and it will only be a temporary thing, don't worry. Because I know you were.

WHY ISNT THIS ON ADULT SWIM OR TV IN GENERAL?!

I like to curse, honestly. Plus, I honestly have never pitched a TV show idea to any networks before. I really don't think I ever want to though, because there's a certain closeness a creator has to their audience when they show their work off on the internet. And I also like doing everything myself, even though it takes longer to finish the entire thing.
